|2016 Indianhead Wednesday Night Men's League Handicapping|
Handicap System for New Golfers to our League:
1. If golfer has a USGA Handicap, we’ll use his posted number.
2. If Golfer has a handicap from his last year’s league, not played at Indianhead, or submitted 3 nine hole score cards:
We’ll use his handicap at a rate of (.80 x posted handicap). If golfer posts a score on their first night, more than 10% less that submitted handicap, said golfer uses their posted score for that given evening for his handicap.
Example: Golfer tells us that they are a 14 handicap and they shoot a 46 (score is 28% off submitted handicap). Said golfer, uses the 10 as their natural handicap because it was more than 10% off what they submitted as a handicap. Thus, scorecard is recalculated at player’s new handicap of 10.
Example: Golfer tells us that they are a 14 handicap and they shoot a 54 (score is over their submitted handicap of 14). Said golfer uses the 14 as their natural handicap.
3. If Golfer has no handicap, is playing in our league for the first time, and cannot fulfill requirement #2:
|The following will be used to give them a handicap based on the score they shot.|
